The first state-level medical history society to have a website. Our goal is to promote interest, research, and writing in medical history, and we are dedicated to the discussion and enjoyment of the history of medicine and allied fields.
The MHSNJ's next monthly Zoom presentation will be on Tuesday, November 16 at 7:00pm EST. MHSNJ past president and American Osler Society past president Dr. Sandra Moss will present "Doc Holliday: Dentist at the O.K. Corral."
Moss's presentation will include both dental and tuberculosis content, featuring perhaps the most famous American dentist (admittedly better known as a gunfighter). If you ever wondered how John Henry Holliday got the nickname "Doc," Dr. Moss will explain. She will also discuss Crawford Long, Val Kilmer, and "Big Nose Kate," and there will be a quiz.
